PNC Short Codes

How to Identify PNC Text Messages

Overview

PNC may send you text messages[1] to service your account. The reasons we message you range from PNC Alerts about your account activity to one-time passcodes for additional security and authentication. These text messages are sent from short codes – abbreviated phone numbers that are five- or six-digits-long and are unique to the sender.

PNC uses specific short codes to contact customers for several reasons. Some of the more common short codes you may receive from PNC are provided below.

If you’ve received a suspicious text message that says that it is from PNC, take a screen shot of the suspicious text message on your mobile phone and forward it to PNC Abuse (abuse@pnc.com).
